During Fall and Winter, the Mountain Hut is open but there is no more caretaking, the hut keepers are not here anymore. 

The winter part os the hut is open; you will find wood, the stove, dishes, gaz and blankets. The price is 11 € per person (cash or bank check, there is money box at the entrance). This money allows the Vanoise National Park to take are of the hutsn this is why you can sleep here today. Please, play along! :) 

WATCH OUT: there is neither water, nor toilet. Do not forget to go back to the valley with your rubbish. Please take care of this heavenly place! 

The bridge of the Balmettes, between La Gurraz and the hut, has been removed until next summer. In winter, the access is difficult, it requires technical gear and skills, be careful!
